The Community Justice Action Fund (CJAF) is working fiercely to build power for and with communities of color to end gun violence. At this critical moment, we must take a stance and say firmly that Black Lives Matter, that police violence is gun violence, that we must divest in policing, and that we must invest in community-based solutions.

CJAF's Vision is 3-Fold:

Build community led by the people closest to the pain of everyday gun violence. Create a focus that consists of an inclusive and diverse vision beyond only mass shootings or black male homicides.
Transform the narrative on gun violence in urban areas. Humanize the most impacted people in the movement, but not on the backs of marginalized communities.
Advance policy change to change behavior and norms around gun violence in communities of color. Prioritize non-carceral solutions and lift up the agency of black and brown organizations.
