Amara-Nycole Sealy
Amara-Nycole Sealy discovered public service at a young age, educating her third-grade class (and their parents) about breast cancer prevention and awareness in her hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. With a passion for education and advocacy as well as encouragement from her family to serve, Amara-Nycole earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Community Health Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Soon after moving to Atlanta, Georgia for graduate school, Amara-Nycole completed an AmeriCorps VISTA service year with a community-based organization serving communities affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, where she built the capacity of volunteers to educate others. Amara-Nycole recently earned a Master of Public Administration and Public Policy from Clark Atlanta University hopes to use the power of public health’s greatest stories to influence public policy that affects our nation’s most marginalized and socially disadvantaged communities in a fair and equitable way.
