LaVell Baylor

LaVell Baylor, a military Air Force Veteran and native Los Angeleno, she brings with her nearly 20+ years developing and managing global customer sales & support call centers in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.  She went from the corporate board rooms to experiencing the life-changing effects of being incarcerated. Determined to turn that negative into a positive for social justice and reform, LaVell now serves as the Deputy Director of Freedom 4 Youth (in Santa Barbara, California), whose mission is to empower youth in the juvenile justice system through education, self-realization, transformational leadership and community integration.  Further, affirming that her incarceration was the doorway leading to her life's purpose for championing positive youth development, policy advocacy, and working to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline.
